Wife by Wednesday by Catherine Bybee - Blog Tour!

I am so excited to be part of the blog tour for Catherine Bybee's book Wife By Wednesday. This book looks great right from a first glance at the cover and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Book Summary:

A Contemporary Romance with a dash of humor and a whole lotta sexy…

Blake Harrison:
Rich, titled, and charming… And in need of a wife by Wednesday so he turns to Sam Elliot who isn’t the business man he expected. Instead, Blake is faced with Samantha Elliot, engaging and spunky with a voice men call 900 numbers to hear.

Samantha Elliot:
Owner of Alliance, her matchmaking firm, and not on the marital menu... That is until Blake offers her ten million dollars for a one-year contract. All she needs to do is keep her attraction to her husband to herself and avoid his bed. But Blake’s toe-curling kisses and charm prove too difficult to combat. Now she needs to protect her heart so she can walk away when their mercenary life together is over.

About the Author:

Catherine Bybee has been addicted to books for as long as she can remember. With the love of reading romance novels came the desire to write them as well. Creating worlds where passion and intrigue collide and where werewolves fall in love gives Catherine the perfect balance. And what young woman hasn't fantasized of traveling through time to find the perfect man? Catherine currently lives in Southern California with her supportive and patient husband and two growing sons. If she isn't busy at her computer or with her family, she's volunteering for any number of organizations or working as a RN in a busy Emergency Room.

Author Interview:

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

Not a thing about this book is based on me or anyone I know. Although I've met a fair amount of people with money, I've yet to know anyone rich enough to own their own jet or houses on different continents.

What books have most influenced your life most?

Books as a whole have influenced me as a person, as a writer. They've helped me escape into worlds I'll never see and some I wouldn't want to see. Romance novels always tend to give me hope in life. I'd like to think there is a HEA for everyone out there.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

Nora Roberts, if for no other reason than her tenacity. Her work ethic is second to none. Her talent, unparalleled.

What book are you reading now?

I just finished The Lost by Caridad Pinero.

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

Shannon K. Butcher is probably one of my favorite new paranormal authors. Olivia Gates, thought not new to the world, is new to me and I really love her books. Dakota Cassidy always makes me laugh…

What are your current projects?

I am currently finishing my 1st draft of Highland Shifter. This is the 4th book in my time travel series featuring Simon. When I finished my trilogy, Binding Vows, Silent Vows, and Redeeming Vows, I knew I wanted to write a three more books. This series generated a bunch of fan mail for me and motivated me to get started. Fans of this series are going to love what I have in store for these books. They are time travel, they feature highlanders… and all with magical powers. Starting with a shifter.

Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

My critique partner, Angel Martinez aka Sandra Stixrude has been a rock in my writing world.

Do you see writing as a career?

Yes. I'm in a position in my life right now where I don't have to work my day job so I've dedicated all my working hours into my writing. Like a career, a writer needs to give plenty of time for their work to make them successful. I don't know anyone who starts a job and begins at the top making six figures. Writing isn't any different. The more we write, the better a writer we become.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Other than publishing it a little earlier, there isn't a thing I'd change about Wife by Wednesday.

Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

I've always been a reader, the genre mainly romance. A lot of times the romance novels I picked up as a teen had heroines I didn't like. So many heroines were TSTL, you know, too stupid to live! They went down into the scary basement knowing damn well a monster was there, yet they went anyway. UGH. I figured if I wrote the book, the heroines could have a brain and still get the guy.
