Teaser Tuesday - May 10th

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading...it is a chance for bloggers and readers to share "teasers" from what they are currently reading in hopes to connect others with novels.

The rules are simple:

1-Grab whatever you are currently reading
2-Open to a random page
3-Choose two sentences/passages/teasers and post them
4-Remember not to give any "spoilers!"
5-Give the author/book information so that others can check it out

I am currently reading The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown. This book is very different from other novels I have been reading lately because it is adult and I have been on a young-adult streak, but I am absolutely LOVING IT!

Here are my teasers:

"When the moment she had been dreading finally came, the managing partner of the law firm she worked at arriving at her desk and asking to see her in his office, it was almost a relief. "If it were done, when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly," she quoted to herself, following his wizened steps into his office."

" No plan. No past. No future. She was at home, and of course Rose had to be here too. She who might have been voted Most Likely to Judge You Harshly. Even Cordy, flaky as she was, might have been better. But Rose. Jeez."

This book is about three sisters who return home when they learn their mother has breast cancer. They all have their own skeletons, and their relationship as three sisters doesn't help. Being that I am one of three girls, I am truly connecting to this novel in so many ways - it is nice to read that there is an explanation for the dynamics of three sisters!

Happy Reading!

  1. Sounds like a nice book! The name distantly rings a bell for me although I know I never read it before. Hope you're enjoying it!
