Things EVERY Romance Novel Should Have by Diane Alberts: Kill Me Tomorrow Blog Tour

It's paranormal romance time...I am rolling out the red carpet today for author Diane Alberts - she is here to deliver a really interesting guest post as part of Sizzling PR's blog tour for her book, Kill Me Tomorrow.

This novel is #52 in the 1Night Stand series.

Please be advised that there is adult content in this post.

Book Summary:

Jasmine Baruch is a jinn-a supernatural being who fights demons with fire. While that's difficult enough, she's  got bigger problems. She's a virgin, and in the jinn culture, that is sheer blasphemy. Jinn are supposed to be passionate, promiscuous creatures-everything she isn't. Due to marry the next day, she takes matters into her own hands by using 1NS. But, like the rest of her life, nothing is easy. The man chosen for her, though incredibly gorgeous, is a demi-sanguine; a half-human, half-demon-her enemy.

Gavin Werbato is looking for an easy night of sex. Nothing more, nothing less. Instead, he gets a gorgeous jinn convinced it is her duty to kill him. He can certainly think of better things to do with her soft hands than murder. He need only convince her of that...

Can the fire sparked when these beings collide be controlled, or will it consume their world as they know it?

Things Every Romance Novel Must Have

Number one: A heroine who is not afraid to stand up to a bossy hero, yet will stop and help anyone no matter how old, young, small, mean, or kind they may be.

Number two: A hero who is commanding in both personality and appearance. Six pack abs a must. Can be alpha, sensitive, a loner, or all of the above.

Number three: A misunderstanding of some sort, or a conflict. Examples: Neither one admits that the other loves each other. Or: The hero is the son of her father’s business enemy. Etc, etc. The more conflict, the better! But, let us not drag out the misunderstanding. Otherwise, we feel like punching the characters.

Number four: At least one round of “I’m going to kick your ass—kiss me now or I’ll die passion”. The world needs passion! Buttons need to fly, clothes need to be ripped, and beds need to shake.

Number five: The big moment. No, not that. Get your minds out of the gutter! The moment where the couple pronounce their love for each other. When they finally take that big leap of faith and confess. I still remember the first time my husband said “I love you”…but it was actually “I think I love you.” But still, that moment is beyond reproach, and so freeing in every way.
I think.

Kill Me Tomorrow is a paranormal romance book, in Decadent Publishing’s fabulous 1Night Stand series.

  1. I knew there were a lot of 1NS books, but I had no idea the number had passed 50. This series is going to drive me into the poor house.
