No question this week, just promoting giveaways.
All Consuming Books is hosting a giveaway right now that everyone should check out - it is an interview/giveaway with Christine Nolfi...looks like a great book!
Friday's are also Follow Friday over at parajunkee.com and while I am not that into paranormal young adult lit, her blog is awesome :) This week's question is:
Let's step away from the besties...what is the worst book you have ever read and finished?
It really truly has been a LONG time since I have read something I could honestly say I didn't like - but I have picked up Harry Potter twice and not been able to get into it. So, I didn't do the second part of the question - FINISH THE BOOK! Oh well, I just like a lot of genres!
Have a great weekend, and HAPPY READING!
I'm shocked that you didn't like Harry Potter! To each their own I guess!
ReplyDeleteI have never had a desire to read the Harry Potter series, but I do LOVE the movies :)
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Check out my pick here
Is it just the first HP you can't get through? Because I tell older readers (as in not nine or ten year olds) that you have to make it through the first two before the books start being a normal YA level read. I'd say the first two are Middle Grade novels and I don't do much MG. Cute Blog! I'm stopping through on Follow Friday!
ReplyDeleteI'm also pretty shocked, but I suppose it's impossible for everyone to like one book - even if it is harry potter. New follower! :)

Lovely blog! I can't remember a book I truly hated, either. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo Harry Potter? Really? That's a shame. I know it's a hit or miss book for some people. It took me til about the third book release to get into them.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!!
Old Follower :)
That's okay, not everyone can like everything! I did enjoy HP, but I agree with what was said earlier. The first couple of books are definitely at a younger level. New follower!

Hi Back! Popping in to say hi back. Thanks for visiting. Donna
ReplyDeleteNew follower here! Love your blog background, how pretty :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you weren't into Harry Potter- did you like the movies? I've read the HP series probably about 4 times now and am super excited for the movie coming out next week, but I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea!
You can see my FF post for this week at the link below, would love it if you stopped by! Have a great weekend :)

So sorry you didn't like HP. I did like it. Anyway just hopping on by. New follower. Like the background.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hopping by!
ReplyDeleteReviews really do seem to pile up when I have plenty of books and the time to read them.
I love that puppy picture! It's so cute!
Have a lovely weekend!
how cute is that picture!! love it
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I'm trying to get my friend to finally read the HP books, but she hates fantasy. So I think she may end up not liking it. But since she's an elementary school librarian, I think she really should read the books or at least try to.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
I haven't even tried to read Harry Potter yet, but to be honest it doesn't even look or sound good to me. Maybe someday I'll attempt to read it - I resisted reading Twilight for awhile but a friend finally made me read it and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteJamie @ Bookerella
I'm so over Harry Potter now. I read it when it was just starting to get popular in the UK and I had to carry on reading the series to find out what happened even though I felt the books went downhill after #4. It seems to have just turned into a huge money-making mill now.
ReplyDeleteIt happens, sometimes it's impossible to like all the books.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting in my post :D Hope you are having a great weekend. Hugs,

I read every book I start so it wasn't so hard for me to come up with one.
ReplyDeleteOmg, I love Harry Potter! I grew up with it and have now re-read it more times than I can count! Sorry you can't get into it though, they're amazing if you can.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!

Oh, that's sad. Harry Potter is my favorite series ever. I know a lot of people who didn't like it though, and I understand. It's not for everyone.
ReplyDeleteNew follower hopping through! Hope you're having a good weekend! :)
