Blog Hop & Follow Friday

Happy Happy Friday! I am participating in two different blog "hops/follows" this week - so welcome :)

First, there is the Book Blogger Hop hosted by crazy-for-books.com, another great book blog to check out...her question this week is:

No question this week, just promoting giveaways.

All Consuming Books is hosting a giveaway right now that everyone should check out - it is an interview/giveaway with Christine Nolfi...looks like a great book!

Friday's are also Follow Friday over at parajunkee.com and while I am not that into paranormal young adult lit, her blog is awesome :) This week's question is:

Let's step away from the besties...what is the worst book you have ever read and finished?

It really truly has been a LONG time since I have read something I could honestly say I didn't like - but I have picked up Harry Potter twice and not been able to get into it. So, I didn't do the second part of the question - FINISH THE BOOK! Oh well, I just like a lot of genres!

Have a great weekend, and HAPPY READING!

  1. I'm shocked that you didn't like Harry Potter! To each their own I guess!

  2. I have never had a desire to read the Harry Potter series, but I do LOVE the movies :)

  3. Is it just the first HP you can't get through? Because I tell older readers (as in not nine or ten year olds) that you have to make it through the first two before the books start being a normal YA level read. I'd say the first two are Middle Grade novels and I don't do much MG. Cute Blog! I'm stopping through on Follow Friday!

  4. I'm also pretty shocked, but I suppose it's impossible for everyone to like one book - even if it is harry potter. New follower! :)

  6. No Harry Potter? Really? That's a shame. I know it's a hit or miss book for some people. It took me til about the third book release to get into them.

    Here's my Friday Hops

  7. That's okay, not everyone can like everything! I did enjoy HP, but I agree with what was said earlier. The first couple of books are definitely at a younger level. New follower!

  9. New follower here! Love your blog background, how pretty :)

Sorry you weren't into Harry Potter- did you like the movies? I've read the HP series probably about 4 times now and am super excited for the movie coming out next week, but I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea!

You can see my FF post for this week at the link below, would love it if you stopped by! Have a great weekend :)

  11. Thanks for hopping by!
Reviews really do seem to pile up when I have plenty of books and the time to read them.
I love that puppy picture! It's so cute!

  12. Hopping through. I'm trying to get my friend to finally read the HP books, but she hates fantasy. So I think she may end up not liking it. But since she's an elementary school librarian, I think she really should read the books or at least try to.

  13. I haven't even tried to read Harry Potter yet, but to be honest it doesn't even look or sound good to me. Maybe someday I'll attempt to read it - I resisted reading Twilight for awhile but a friend finally made me read it and I loved it.

  14. I'm so over Harry Potter now. I read it when it was just starting to get popular in the UK and I had to carry on reading the series to find out what happened even though I felt the books went downhill after #4. It seems to have just turned into a huge money-making mill now.

  15. It happens, sometimes it's impossible to like all the books.

  17. Omg, I love Harry Potter! I grew up with it and have now re-read it more times than I can count! Sorry you can't get into it though, they're amazing if you can.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  18. Oh, that's sad. Harry Potter is my favorite series ever. I know a lot of people who didn't like it though, and I understand. It's not for everyone.

New follower hopping through! Hope you're having a good weekend! :)
