Blog Hop & Follow Friday - TGIF!

Happy Happy Friday! I am participating in two different blog "hops/follows" this week - so welcome :)

First, there is the Book Blogger Hop hosted by crazy-for-books.com, another great book blog to check out...her question this week is:

What keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book and what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?

I very rarely stop reading a book, I have learned so many times that while the beginning might be slow, those are sometimes the books that have the best endings and it ends up being well worth the read. This is the same thing that helps me get beyond the first few pages of a book.

I am sure many readers feel this way, but I always struggle with the first few pages because many times I have just left an amazing book, with characters that I loved, and to start over is hard...kind of like starting over after a break-up - it stinks!

Friday's are also Follow Friday over at parajunkee.com and while I am not that into paranormal young adult lit, her blog is awesome :) This week's question is:

ACK! Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction?

One of my most recent character favorites is Sarah Agnes Prine of Nancy E. Turner's trilogy - if she walked into a room, I would be so excited because I would be able to ask her all of this things that the trilogy got me excited about. From the books I know that Sarah is a calm level-headed person, so screaming like a banshee when I met her would not be smart - politely introducing myself, and being respectful would be my approach.

Oh how we wish we could truly meet some of the characters that we love so much!
